"The DJing community and the greater dance music scene mourns the loss of a clubbing staple today. No, Steve Aoki hasn’t hung up his record bag, but rather news has emerged that iconic turntable manufacturers Technics will be stopping production on their universally loved Technics 1200s and Technics 1210s" MORE

Yo everybody, I'm back again. I know this may seem like shameless plugging for my remix, but I just wanted to let y'all know that www.firstup.se posted it on their blog, and now it's on The Hype Machine! I'm really pumped on it. So, if you have an account be sure to check it out HERE and click the tiny heart for your good friend Pres.
This is Skratch Bastid, Scratch (from The Roots), and DJ Starting From Scratch throwing a track together. They just start flippin' the song "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins into a really dope track. Check it out. This should be inspiration to get out and start collabing with your friends, kiddos.
Here's a Skratch Bastid Remix of Kardinal Offishal's "Clear" http://www.sendspace.com/file/tj4h77. It isn't the song in the video, but it's pretty good. The beat reminds me of Planet Rock. Party people can y'all get funky? Yeeeaaaah.
I'll post the remix of this Screamin' Jay Hawkins track when it gets released. It's gonna be hot. Props to Potholes in My Blog for the original post.

(After-post edit): Check out the guy who is playing the Screamin' Jay Hawkins track (DJ Starting From Scratch, I believe) when they start jamming. He's playing serato like an instrument. Definitely ill.
"Part One of this series covered setting goals and deciding on the direction of your DJing career, and the second installment helped you secure your first gigs. But now that you’ve got some skills and some steady gigs, how do move to the next level of booking high-profile, globe-trotting dates?" (DJ Tech Tools) LINK
This is just nutty. The guy in the video is Peque, a Spanish DJ/VJ/Virtual Drummer who wears a suit that controls Virtual DJ and a couple of other programs that I'm not familiar with. I'm not sure if this is the future of DJing or not, but I think that this might be DJ KAnga's new look.

I just put out a remix of the track "Feel It" by Three 6 Mafia feat. Sean Kingston, Flo Rida, and Tiesto. The original track actually isn't out yet. This is the only way to hear it and feel it right now. I know a lot of the posts are relating to hip-hop, and this is more of a club banger than anything else, but that's the great thing about DJing. I can DJ a funk, soul, and underground hip-hop show on the radio during the day, and produce and play club tracks that same night. HERE'S THE LINK (right/control click + Save As)
In case you feel like exploring and adding music to your catalog, this track and 3 mashup mixes are all available at my website www.presmusic.com.
Hope y'all dig it. Work it into your sets! I challenge you.
